I believe that digital media, social networking, location-based technologies are all about embodiment. We care, want to know about other bodies, we want that knowledge and people indulge us by saying what their body is doing - sharing presence/grounding/bodyspace &quot;I&#039;m having a latte&quot; &quot;Phillip is at Starbucks on main street&quot;. &quot;Lying in bed watching a movie from iTunes&quot;.</description>

It&#039;s kind of odd however that he would make the bold (and a little romantic) statement that &quot;Bodies are no longer relevant.&quot; 

We are absolutely embodied, and it is totally relevant and that becomes even more apparent, I would argue, in an electronic age.  The quickening of time and shrinking of space doesn&#039;t change the basics of our situations. 

All we need to think of is how many twitters are about what someone is going to eat, or where someone is. It matters! :)</description>
